Retrofitting at Isabellenhütte Heusler
Steigerwald’s EBOCONT strip welding machine gets an update
Isabellenhütte Heusler is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of precision measurement products, and a recognized technological leader in manufacturing materials for resistors and temperature measurement.
With its ISA-ASIC four-channel measuring system developed in 2002, Isabellenhütte Heusler was the first company in the world to offer highly precise measurement of current, voltage and temperature in the field of automotive battery management. Today, the company’s precision measurement system ISAscale sets the international standard. The system uses the highly developed ISA-WELD and ISA-PLAN shunt technologies. In the ISA-WELD process, the shunts are punched from tri-metal strips made from three individual strips of copper and an alloy welded together using an EBOCONT electron welding machine.

The EBOCONT welding system has been used to carry out high-quality welding processes for many years. This year, the system is being modernized as part of a retrofitting. Thanks to the upgrade, the SST-EBOCONT system is future-proof and will reliably provide top-quality welding results for many more years to come.
